Building a Partnership to Support Anti-Corruption and Civil Service Reform Initiatives in Malawi
The Chandler Institute of Governance’s (CIG) Board Member Mr Tim Hanstad met with the President of Malawi, His Excellency Dr Lazarus Chakwera. They discussed how CIG and the Chandler Foundation can support the Government of Malawi's anti-corruption and civil service reform agendas. Mr Hanstad is also the CEO of the Chandler Foundation.

CIG & Rwanda Cooperation Sign MOU to Enhance Public Sector Capability in Rwanda and Internationally
The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) and the Rwanda Cooperation entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 7 July 2022, formalising the partnership between both organisations to support public sector capabilities development. The second edition of the Chandler Good Government Index (the “CGGI”, or the “Index”) launched today in Singapore. Designed by the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG), the Index is the world’s most comprehensive index of effective national government. It shows the importance of investing in enhancing the capabilities of public servants and the structures they operate within, to achieve a better and more sustainable future. This year’s edition builds on the success of the inaugural Index launched in 2021 and comes at a critical time as governments around the world look to recover from the pandemic.
