CIG develops high quality and relevant knowledge products for policymakers and government leaders. Our research and knowledge products are practitioner-focused, and designed to support them in policymaking and implementation.
These products, which range from short articles and stories to practitioner interviews and case studies support knowledge sharing across practitioners globally, and are used as teaching resources for the Chandler Academy of Governance.
These knowledge pieces relate to the core work of government, such as policy design, implementation and public service delivery. These competencies are explored through case studies, practice guides and interviews. They draw on a wide variety of countries, contexts, and new developments in governance.
Government Systems and Institutions
These research pieces focus on the systems and institutions that make up and support the work of Government. They focus on how to build stronger and more effective institutional capabilities. Many of these pieces examine how government’s own structures, systems and culture can support employees and civil service excellence.
These articles feature inspiring and personal stories of statecraft. Our Greats in Governance series draws on the fascinating lessons in governance and statesmanship shown by great leaders of the past, and reflect how a nation’s history can help inform its future. More contemporary stories feature government practitioners today and their insights into current challenges in governance.
