CAG Delivers Training on Policy Design and Implementation Skills for Kenyan Emerging Leaders
The Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG), in collaboration with the Public Service Commission of Kenya (PSC), Emerging Public Leaders (EPL) and Emerging Leaders Foundation (ELF), successfully delivered the third segment of the Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship (PSELF) programme. The second PSELF cohort brought together 65 future government leaders from the Kenyan public service across more than 45 counties. The opening ceremony for the segment was graced by Dr Mary Ciambaka Mwiandi, Commissioner, Public Service Commission, Kenya.
CAG Concludes First Pan-African Senior Leadership Programme on Building Strong Nations
The Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG) welcomed 20 government leaders from across 10 African countries to Singapore, for the concluding segment of the Strong Nations for Africa Programme, which was delivered in collaboration with the African Association for Public Administration and Management. In the course of a week, the participants went through expert-facilitated workshops, peer-led discussions and learning journeys to understand the building blocks for strong nations, and the government’s role as architects for doing so. Participants were also able to observe policy implementation and governance in practice within the Singapore context, and reflect on good practices that could potentially be adopted in their respective countries.
Senior Leaders across Africa Attend Inaugural CAG Programme on Building Strong Nations
After months of planning, the Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG) has officially launched the Strong Nations for Africa Programme with our partner, the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM), in Nairobi, Kenya. Selected from 150 applicants, the inaugural programme brought together 21 senior government leaders from 11 different countries in Africa who collectively bring with them rich experiences from different parts of government. The opening ceremony was graced by Hon. Amos Gathecha, Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Service, Kenya.
CAG Attends ASEAN PSTI Forum in Vietnam to Support Regional Collaboration in Leadership Training
The Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG) was invited by the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) of Vietnam to participate in the annual meeting of ASEAN Public Service Training Institutes (PSTI). During the meeting, CAG shared the trends facing the global public sector training landscape and facilitated discussions between the PSTI leaders on opportunities for regional collaboration in public sector leadership capability development.
CAG Launched Second Run of Programme, Strengthening Public Sector Capabilities in Vietnam
The Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG) launched the second run of the Modern and Effective National Governance Programme for Emerging Leaders (MENGPEL) in Hanoi. New 2023 Chandler Good Government Index Sees Asian Governments Delivering Better Performance
The Chandler Institute of Governance has today published its third annual Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI) report and country rankings. In a challenging global context, the 2023 CGGI rankings have produced some significant movements that reinforce emerging global trends. Most strikingly, Singapore has emerged as the strongest performer in the rankings, unseating Finland from its 2-year lead in the Index and leapfrogging Switzerland in the process.
