CIG Signs MOU for Collaboration with the Uzbekistan Agency for the Development of the Public Service

SAMARKAND (Uzbekistan), 24 June 2025 – The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) and the Agency for the Development of Public Service under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ARGOS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to formalise a partnership to strengthen public sector performance and governance in Uzbekistan. The MOU was signed by the First Deputy Director of ARGOS, Mr Amirtemirkhon Musaev, and CIG’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wu Wei Neng. This MOU marks the start of a partnership between ARGOS and CIG, and establishes a structured framework to guide implementation of joint education and research activities, exchange of information, and technical and training programmes.

Both organisations expressed their commitment to the partnership, and CIG looks forward to working with ARGOS to strengthen public sector excellence in Uzbekistan.

CIG also engaged in introductory discussions with Dr. Jasur Salikhov, Rector of the Uzbekistan Academy of Public Policy and Administration, to explore potential areas of collaboration. CIG looks forward to embarking on further cooperation with the Academy of Public Policy and Administration to support the training and development of public servants in Uzbekistan.
