CIG and Government of Uganda Deepen Partnership on Integrity and Anti-Corruption Capacity Building

Kampala (Uganda), 27 November 2024 – The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) and the Government of Uganda have successfully concluded a 3-day training workshop on integrity and anti-corruption. Building on CIG’s ongoing partnership with the Government of Uganda to strengthen public sector integrity and governance, the workshop brought together 45 participants from 23 different ministries, departments and agencies.

Facilitated by CIG experts, Professor Soh Kee Hean and Professor Christopher Stone, the workshop covered the fundamentals of public sector integrity and anti-corruption, including ethical governance and decision-making, understanding and measuring corruption, and the risks, tools and tactics for confronting corruption. Through interactive scenario exercises and real-world case studies, participants also explored practical ways to test out and incorporate the discussed good practices in their roles as public managers.
