CIG Partners LKYSPP to Enhance Eritrean Government’s National Development and Planning Capabilities
March 14, 2025

ASMARA (Eritrea), 14 March 2025 – The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG), in partnership with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Eritrea, and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) have jointly completed the 2nd Capacity Development Programme on National Development and Planning for the Eritrean Government.
The programme was attended by 47 Eritrean civil servants from 11 ministries and was structured into three interconnected modules, each focusing on futures thinking, national visioning, and strategic planning. CIG led the modules on national visioning and strategic planning and throughout the sessions, our experts engaged in insightful discussions on Eritrea’s national story as a foundation for vision development, the framework and process of collaborative visioning, and practical tools to translate vision into actionable strategic plans.

This initiative marks CIG’s first collaboration with LKYSPP and our inaugural engagement in Eritrea. We are grateful to LKYSPP and UNDP Eritrea for their partnership and look forward to further strengthening our collaboration.
