CIG and Vietnam’s HUHA Begin Partnership on Case Studies Development

The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) met with Vietnam’s Hanoi University of Home Affairs (HUHA) on 26 September 2019 to begin partnership on developing and using case studies. This follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that was signed on 13 August 2019.

Rector of HUHA Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien noted that HUHA had been very keen to develop and use case studies for some time. He added: “With CIG’s support, the quality of workshops will be good. It is an excellent opportunity for us to enhance HUHA’s quality of teaching through the use of case studies”.

Executive Director of CIG Wu Wei Neng explained the role and value of case studies in training government officials, and briefed HUHA on CIG’s proposed case study development methodology and programme. Both organisations agreed to use the proposal as the basis for further work.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien then invited CIG to co-chair an international conference with HUHA in December 2019, on using training to develop human resource management in the public sector.
