CIG & Rwanda Cooperation Sign MOU to Enhance Public Sector Capability in Rwanda and Internationally

KIGALI (Rwanda), 7 July 2022 — The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) and the Rwanda Cooperation entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 7 July 2022, formalising the partnership between both organisations to support public sector capabilities development. CIG will work closely with Rwanda Cooperation to co-design and co-deliver training programmes for public sector officers in Rwanda and internationally, and promote knowledge sharing through South-South and triangular cooperation.

The signing ceremony was held in person at Rwanda Cooperation’s office in Kigali. In her remarks, Rwanda Cooperation’s CEO, Ambassador Christine Nkulikiyinka, highlighted the shared mandates between Rwanda Cooperation and CIG in championing people-centred and accountable governance through knowledge sharing.

CIG is keen to exchange good practices and learn from Rwandan experts. This MOU provides a solid foundation for both organisations to commence a process of mutual learnings, and to co-create communities of practice to draw insights from practitioners and experts in specific areas of governance.
