On 14 August 2019, our team at the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) met with Minister Le Vinh Tan at the headquarters of Vietnam’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), to discuss collaboration in training and research.

The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) met with the President of Vietnam’s National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, on 13 August 2019 to discuss collaboration in research and training senior leaders at Vice Minister level.

Our team at the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) met with Vietnam’s Hanoi University of Home Affairs (HUHA) on 13 August 2019 for the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between both organisations. The MOU aims to establish a partnership to improve public service quality through training and research.

Our team at the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) was delighted to meet with our partner, the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab South Asia (J-PAL South Asia), to learn more about their work with governments. Shobhini Mukerji, Executive Director; and Senior Policy Manager, Gautam Patel from J-PAL South Asia visited our office, and shared their current projects and future aspirations.

On 25 March and 2 April, the Chandler Institute of Governance organised a programme on public sector human resource management and performance appraisal for the Costa Rica Directorate General for Civil Service (Dirección General de Servicio Civil).

With support from the Chandler Institute of Governance, J-PAL South Asia launched a Governance Unit. The unit will strengthen how they equip leaders and support governments to adopt an evidence-informed approach to decision-making that can improve citizens’ lives and set in place mechanisms to strengthen governance in India.
