Dinesh Naidu

Director (Knowledge)

Dinesh is the Director of Knowledge at the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG). He leads teams that work alongside global experts to assess and report on the capabilities and performance of governments at various levels. As part of this work, he is responsible for the development and communication of CIG’s signature Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI). Dinesh also leads the development of key knowledge products, including CIG’s flagship Governance Matters magazine, as well as other research and publications.

Dinesh brings a decade of leadership experience in the Singapore government, where he was responsible for the development and delivery of knowledge products aimed at senior government leaders around the world. At the Centre for Liveable Cities in the Ministry of National Development, his teams developed a range of print and digital publications as well as curated and organised the World Cities Summit, the largest international gathering of Mayors and city leaders.

In addition, Dinesh has over a decade of personal experience both in the public and non-government sectors in researching, writing, editing and publishing on various topics related to governance, including history, urban development and planning, conservation, and sustainability.

Dinesh holds a Masters in Public Management from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, including a semester at the Harvard Kennedy School, which he pursued while on a scholarship from the Singapore government. His Bachelor’s degree is in Architecture from the National University of Singapore.
