Bayan Maxwell Edis
Bayan Maxwell Edis is an international law, policy and development professional with a background in international trade law, as well as managing, designing and implementing sustainable development programs throughout Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific. Having worked with governments, Fortune 100 companies, large international NGOs, international think tanks and grassroots community-led organisations, he brings a holistic approach to both research and practice.
Bayan has authored a number of policy reports as well as published articles with the Center for International Trade and Investment in Jakarta and Cambridge University Press' World Trade Review. Bayan holds degrees in law (LL.B) and Communication Studies (BA), both from the University of Western Australia, in addition to a postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University. He is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia.
