The Chandler Institute of Governance
At the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG), our core purpose is to promote good governance through supporting leaders, governments, and policy design and implementation. We do this through partnerships with national and local leaders, and organizations working with governments.
Good governance is not only the job of top government leaders. It also requires the efforts of people at all levels in the public service. Through our programs, we empower public service leaders and officers with the skills needed to thrive in their respective spheres of influence.
We are one of the few privately funded non-profit institutions that support governments and public leaders across the world. Our programs place a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of governance and nation building, rather than abstract theory. We engage experts with deep government experience and expertise, and with a track record of practical excellence. We also adopt a multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary approach to policy analysis and research, and we always keep the practical, pragmatic realities of policy implementation in mind. As a result, CIG is uniquely positioned to support leaders and governments.
We draw inspiration from Singapore. While every country’s context and needs are different, Singapore shows that effective leadership and sound policies can support the flourishing of its citizens and economy. We strongly believe that if a tiny island-state with no natural resources can succeed, it is entirely possible for larger countries blessed with abundant resources, natural wealth, land and people to reach their full potential.
I invite you to be a part of this journey to build creative and prosperous nations.
